Streamlining Your Office Coffee Deliveries

Having coffee delivered to your office can be a lot easier than maintaining a coffee maker in the office. Your workers don't have to waste time brewing coffee and waiting for it, and you don't have to worry about who cleans the coffee maker each day. However, even coffee delivery does need to be streamlined to ensure it goes efficiently. Here are some ways to do that.

Give your employees a shorter list of options.

The coffee company that delivers your coffee may offer 200 different options, but that does not mean you need to make all of those options available to your employees. Letting your employees pick between just 10 or so different coffee options can keep things more efficient. They won't spend as much time deciding on their coffee orders, and there won't be as many different coffees for everyone to sort through when they come into the office in the morning. For instance, it takes less time for employees to either grab a decaf, dark roast, or light roast from three stacks than to sort through 50 different coffee orders to find their own.

Have milk, sugar, and other additives delivered separately.

Coffee services often give companies two options. They can deliver all of the coffees with milk and sugar added according to individual orders, or they can deliver the ordered coffees with milk and sugar on the side for employees to add as they desire. The second option is usually much easier. You won't have employees frustrated because their coffee is sweeter than they expected or because someone added milk, not cream. Plus, it won't be as big of a deal if someone accidentally grabs someone else's coffee.

Consider having a thermos tank of coffee delivered for later.

Chances are, some of your employees are going to want more than one coffee throughout the day. Instead of having the coffee delivery company come a second time in the afternoon, ask them to bring an insulated dispenser of coffee along with your morning order. Pick something versatile, like a medium roast or house coffee. Any employees who want more coffee after they've had their first one can use this thermos to refill their original cup. This cuts down on waste and expenses.

With the tips above, you can offer a more streamlined coffee service to your employees. They'll love having coffee provided for them, and you'll love the efficiency. Reach out to a coffee service in your area to get started.
